Old Folks, New Rules · Sat Mar 25, 12:25 PM by Susan Stott

Just because the Reunion will be held at the new High School, we do not need to revert to adolescent behavior.

There have been a handful of us who have enjoyed planning, getting together, reminiscing and laughing. Although we all (yes, all of us) have grown and evolved into adults, hopefully we have learned to get along in a diversified life.

But I have to say that the recent comments I have returned from a funeral to find have frankly sickened me.

People are People and thank God for each us. We have all contributed to each others character — if not we wouldn’t be doing this. I want to meet and enjoy my old friends — all my old friends. Someone I read about said we are all special. You never know who you’re talking to sometimes, it might have been that one chance in a lifetime to do the grandest deed — usually the one that is the hardest — to help another in need. Are you up for the test? Think about that next time you have something derogatory to say.

I apologize because the thread we are talking about (that’s as much as I’m saying) was not deleted before this; I have been out of town at my Father-in-Law’s funeral. In the future I want everyone to use this forum for fun and — yes — a little mayhem, but within the following simple rules:

Comments that are deemed offensive and/or insulting will not be tolerated, and will be deleted. Repeat violators may be banned from commenting.

That’s all. Really nothing more than the same behavior you’d expect from a visitor in your home. And this is our home. I look forward to hearing and sharing old times with everyone.

I love you all,
Susan
